Job Specification:                 Sales Development Representative

Reporting to:                          Sales Director

 

Job description

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for generating significant volume of quality sales qualified leads (SQL’s) for REG (UK) Ltd across industry verticals in line with company strategy. Following an outlined sales process, the SDR will fully research prospective leads, maintain CRM and supporting records then contact the prospect via telephone and email campaigns. Once contact is achieved the SDR will pre-screen the prospects, ensure they understand our products and services and arrange a meeting for a Sales Manager to attend. The SDR will ensure all SQL’s are seamlessly transferred across to the Sales Manager for closing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve personal weekly SQL target as set by Sales Director
  • Fully research all potential new prospects
  • Contact new prospects and develop into SQL’s through calls and email campaign
  • As initial contact with new prospects ensure they are aware of REG products and services before arranging Sales Manager meeting
  • Complete pre-screening of potential clients including capturing all information required in the SQL criteria and ensure stakeholder map is completed
  • Achieve quality measures for SQL’s
  • Handover SQL to Sales Director and team with supporting documentation and CRM updates
  • Own full cycle sales process for lower revenue products from generating lead to closing deal
  • Provide regular activity reports and regular prospect updates to Sales Director

Skills and Experience

  • 1+ years’ experience in B2B sales experience, preferably in the insurance / technology environment
  • Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding goals
  • Excellent telephone manner with outstanding objection handling skills
  • Experience of managing CRM and pipeline records

Terms

Salary:                  Salary within role band with uncapped SQL commission

Pension:               You will be eligible to participate in the REG workplace pension NEST auto enrolment scheme

Life Cover:            4 x Annual Salary subject to acceptance and scheme terms and conditions

Medical:               Eligible to join the REG private medical scheme provided by Vitality Health subject to acceptance and scheme terms and conditions           

Notice:                  30 days upon successful completion of any probation period

Holidays:              25 days holiday each year, plus Bank Holidays

Place of Work:     52 Gracechurch Street, London, EC3V 0EH with requirement to occasionally travel within the UK
