At REG, we want to contribute to a sustainable future by promoting positive environmental change both through the way we conduct business and our internal culture. Not only do we practise a green policy, reducing our footprint as an organisation but also through the way REG's electronic sign and exchange service helps our clients, reducing their paper usage and wastage.
In 2018, our members exchanged 14,500 Terms of Business Agreements online reducing the use of 100,000+ sheets of paper. Instead of sending Christmas cards this year, we will be planting 100 trees. In 2019, our commitment to both the environment and our chosen charity partner, One Tree Planted is to plant one tree for every digital document exchanged via the REG Network.
Our goal is to make a measurable impact on people, society and ultimately, preserve the Earth.
One Tree Planted is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2014 (the same year as REG) based in Vermont that plants trees around the world. Their sole focus is on global reforestation.
A truly great cause which aligns with partners worldwide to help choose the best tree species to plant in local communities, ensuring a tree survival rate of over 80%.
On Friday 28th September 2018, the REG offices participated in the Macmillan Coffee morning, joining millions around the UK. With cancer affecting everyone, directly or indirectly, we felt this was a most worthwhile cause.
With all our staff, baking a range of cookies, cakes and savoury snacks, we raised £361.27 through sales of the baked goods and donations.
